OK, so have been pretty busy the last two weeks. Finished all my sightseeing in Buenos Aires, took my 1b spanish and passed so got my little diploma certificate and had to say a quick speech in spanish - was very basic so don't get too impressed. Had my last meal and time with family and last night out with my classmates and other friends from the school. Was sad to leave, but also ready to move on.
Am in Urugay now and loving it. They have crazy money and feel like I'm playing monoply as $50 pesos is 1 pound. Alo the country is beautiful, the weather has been great and people lovely.
A group of us took the 1 hour boat journey to Colonia for a short weekend of fun and frolics. After a very hungover and hilarious boat ride there we went and found a place to stay and headed out for snacks, drinks and exploring. We ended up in a lovelycafe drinking on the street and watching the sunset, before going out for a yummy seafood dinner on the pier. Afterwards we went to a really great club and the night ended in the 24hr pool bar next to out hotel, which I amactually really good at after a few drinks.
The next day we hired golf cart type vehicles to explore the area and came across old town colonia, the cutest place I've ever seen. I loved it so much, its so pretty and old towny, and there is also a lovely beach.
Unfortunately the trip ended after that as some of the guys had to get the boat home for clas on Monday and Patrick and I headed on further along the Uruguayan coast...(next journal entry)
