Had to update you on our accommodation of the past few days. The picture gives you an idea but it doesn't really do it justice. It was called PS guest house in the middle of Bangkok and cost 3.70 a night. The first night was ok but after that we realised that the place was full of Ladyboys. So, we're back in Bangkok sorting out the new flights and getting ready for the 4 week Loas, Vietnam and Cambodia tour. The picture is of the floating markets, going there tomorrow and on Monday we are off on the night train again to Laos. First stop the capital Vientiane. This is where we've been for the last 6 days, the tropical paradise of Koh Tao. Jim and I both did our scuba diving PADI open water courses here and I did also did my advanced. The scuba was amazing. Saw loads of different things underwater including a bull shark, moray eel and a sting ray. that swam past me at about 6-7m in length. We arrived on Koh Samui at midday and got on a bus (pick up truck with benches in the back) to take us to Lamai. We found a cute little beach hut to stay in! We lazed for a few days here along with a load of old European men with their respect Thai ladies. It was very, very wrong! By this point we had eventually acclimatised and had made plans to go to Koh Samui on the night train. We spent the day wandering around China Town. Stubbled upon a massive market, filling the tiny streets with stalls and stalls of weird and exotic produce. In amongst the stalls we would find the occassional temple.
