Ok Sydney, don't know really where to start apart from saying I don't want to leave!!!!! People say you are either a Melbourne person or a Sydney person and I can hand on heart say we are both Sydney people. There is so much to do here and the best thing about it is that it is mostly outside! PLus the beachs are so beautiful!

We have been here now for over a week and enjoyed every day! We have spent most of our time in the Eastern suburbs so Bondi and Bronte where my cousin lives with her family. It's such a gorgeous place only a few min walk to Bronte Beach or little bit longer to the famous Bondi beach.

The first night we got here we stayed in the city centre and Stu took me for a walk to the Sydney Harbour. I finally felt like I was in Australia. I know that sounds rather sad as I have been here for a month now but I suppose in most people's mind Australia is illustrated by Sydney Harbour. It was beautiful, and unlike Melbourne where everything was crowded and people were too busy you could sit by the harbour alone and just stare at the bridge. It was lovely to find some quiet time even though you are at a famous sight. I liked it a lot.

The next day we headed to Bronte to see my cousin and her family for Christmas. We had such a lovely time and ate some of the best food i have eaten. We had one of the best Christmas days we have had, partly due to the fact the children were so excited which made it even more Christmassy. Christmas morning we got to go for a swim in the beach side pool, i tried to body board but failed miserably as i felt like i was drowning, wander to Bondi Beach and eat until we felt ill-just like a normal Christmas but without the Queens speach, we even had Christmas crackers. We got spoilt all day and enjoyed a huge water fight with the kids which Stu and I lost as we emerged the wettest out of everyone.

Since then we have spent most days exploring the area, wandered down to the beach, relaxed by the pool, went to the pump house museum and went to another gorgeous beach in Watsons bay where you could stare out to the city sky line.....beautiful!

We were unsure of what to do for New Year, obviously we wanted to see the Harbour Bridge fireworks but we didn't want to have to sit for hours getting toasted. So we very last minute bought tickets to watch the fireworks on Dover Heights (I think that was what it was called) basically the Calday of Sydney if you get my drift. We had an amazing view of the Harbour and no waiting....perfect! We got to see the 9oclock fireworks with the kiddie's then party the night on until the main event which was just so surreal. I still can't believe we actually saw the fireworks first hand!

Anyways I have got to go and have my face painted.
