Hello everyone.

We have arrived safely at our hotel last night (i think!? Well it was dark at least! but we still arent exactly sure what time it is, but I think that it is day time because it is light! hahaha!) And, we have finally adventured out of our hotel room! It has taken quite a lot of courage, the view from our 23rd floor hotel room is amazing both last night and this morning, but it has shown us just how big bangkok is!!!

So, we looked at our maps (and thank heavens Sarah brought a guide book ... partially explains the extra weight in her backpack! ... becuase it seems that from the minute that we stepped of the plane, our minds went blank and we couldn't remember anything that we had previously read in them all!) and we decided to go somewhere fairly easy and normal to ease ourselves into the Bangkok way! Also I am desperate to get my hands on the new Harry Potter book and it seems that I forgot to pack my pj's and I have lost my sunglasses on the plane! (Good start!) So we have decided on a shopping Plaza over on the other side of town that we can get to on the sky train (also a good way to see abit more of Bangkok we thought) and the sky train station is only 15 minutes walk from our hotel, easy!!! ... we thought! So after 3/4 of an hour walking round in unbelieveable heat, thirsty and hungry, went gave up and flagged a taxi. Good job really because he swiftly turned rounbd and headed in the opposite direction, and took us on a journey that we would definitely not managed walking and on our own!!

So, we have arrived at the Train Station and have just spotted a KFC where we managed to get a drink! and then this little internet cafe, so we thought you would all like to know that we got here safely and that we have braved the outside world! At least we know that we can get a taxi back to our hotel tonight if we get lost again! hahaha!

Right. hope you are all ok, mum and sheila, glad that you didnt use too many tissues at the airport, we both think that you did really well! We're off in searchh of pj's, sunglasses and harry potter! We'll kepp you all updated as much as possible. Please mails us, leave us messages check out our pictures and I've got my phone with me so you can txt us too!
