We had an interesting 432km drive to Mt Gambier. Our caravan site is in the volcanic region. The Blue Lake in the photo is in a volcanic crater. We walked right round it and part of the adjacent craters. Our main surprise here is that we are having some intermittent rain. At least it is warm.

Brad's father Barry took us for a trip up the River. We saw a range of birds on the water and in the trees. I missed clicking a kookaburra by seconds !! Following this we enjoyed a beer at Barry and Yvonne's house. On this evening we had a great Australian meal out with Desri and Brad. Sarah had Barramunda and I had Roo !! We also saw some pelicans in the bush area.

One evening Brad took us on a safari into the bush. We saw about 10 kangaroos.

When taking Isla and Brad to the play park we saw these 10 emus in a field.
