This is us, with Tasman Lake behind and the glacier behind that. Tasman Glacier at 27kms is the longest clavier in New Zealand. We were surprised how grubby they looked, not the pristine white as you may think.

This brought back memories of Mt Kilimanjaro. It was the first time I had used one of these toilets for nearly 12 years.

Whilst walking we heard one rumble of a small avalanche but did not see one. We were waiting, especially when looking at this.

This is Hooker Valley lake at the foot of the glacier. These are the first icebergs we have ever seen. We know they are small !!!

We spent the day around Mt Cook village doing the Hooker Valley walk and Tasman walk both to the glaciers. This was our first site from the car park.
