Whilst briefly on line yesterday I found a new friend who found what I was doing very interesting.

Our first stop yesterday was this library. An interesting place. Whilst Sarah was looking at books I was watching the cutting up of a redwood tree which had fallen from the library grounds across the No1 Highway. Luckily nothing was in its path. A slice of the wood, as seen in the photo, is worth €4000 and there are 45 of them.

Saturday morning and we are about to drive the last leg into San Francisco. We have had two days in the National Park here at Big Sur. yesterday we did two walks each with over 1000ft ascends through the forests. Here is a sample of the coastal drive.
