This is a Nene which is becoming rare and there are signs up on the roads for drivers to be careful not to hit any.
Interestingly we saw a sign to be aware of donkeys crossing a road over a two mile stretch at dawn and dusk. This is similar to deer warnings in the Scottish Highlands !!!
