This is probably as near as I will ever be to playing a shot on the famous Pebble Beach course. It is now 2 months since I played a golf shot !!!!

Instead of our planned walk round a peninsular we decided to do the 17 mile Pebble Beach drive. A good choice. There are at least 6 golf courses, very impressive housing, great coastline and woodland. This is a 250 old tree and used on the logo of Pebble Beach Golf Course.

We have arrived at San Francisco. The next 5 entries were on our route here today, mainly at Pebble Beach. One of Sarah's challenges is to find the best mailboxes. Here is a contender.

Big Sur, California

We are now at Big Sur, one of the best National Parks. We are about to go for a walk. Half way from Morro Bay to here we spent the morning at Hearst Castle. Here it is from sea level up 400 metres. The castle was built by newspaper magnate William Randolf Hearst. More to follow later after our walk.
