We ended up spending 5 days in Wellington which is a really cool city, but very windy! We stayed a couple of nights in a hostel, then a few nights at Corey's mates flat! We even got some work in Wellington for 2 days....OMG, I have never been soo mortified and embarressed! and i didn't even know anyone! We were walking bill boards! It was soo funny, but something that I never want to repeat! However, it gave us some extra cash so we could survive for a few days!

We tried to get more work in wellington, but there wasn't really much for short term, so we headed to Napier. We camped at a hostel for about 9 days. The hostel was really nice, and this old couple ran it who sorted work out for us! We were apple pickers! I was quite excited about this as you really have to do fruit picking in NZ! This excitment lasted about 2 minutes when we were shown the size of the trees (HUGE!) and the amount we were getting paid per tree (60c/tree!) We did it for 7 days, working 10 hour days and trying to get as many trees done as we could! Turns out we are really bad at apple picking and just not very fast! On our final day the trees we had to do were even bigger and we just wanted to cry so we quit!! Then we got paid and realised we'd worked about 70 hours for about 400 bucks!! Awesome! lol

Anyway, being sick of apples we decided to head to the beach! We stopped at Taupo which was quite nice and Rotaroa which has the boiling mud and smells like sulpher on the way whcih was quite cool and we decided to stay at Mt Maunganui. This is a small beach side town at the bottom of a volcano and it was really nice so we spent a couple of days lazing on the beach - we even slept on the beach on our first night and it was so cool

We then made our way to Auckland for our final week with the intention to work...yeah right! The past week we have been staying at Abby's (who we worked with up the mountain) who lives about half an hour from the city and has the nicest house with a pool and a cinema room!!! Its been great!! I really like auckland - we've been shopping as we sold our car for double what we paid for it!! and we are having a massive night out tonight!!

Today is my final day in New Zealand...and its been soo much fun! The road trip was awesome but I have to say, I am soo over camping right now! I've met some great people which is good coz with Becs gone I wouldn't have known what to do if I hadnt!! Im going to Australia with Keltie and heading up to Cairns to see Sam and Chloe (other people i work with up the mountain) and Dionne (from home) its going to be great! Then Abby, Keltie, Amy, Chloe and me are going to meet in Sydney for xmas and New Year!!! Only 3 weeks til xmas!!!
