Ica to Lima

A nice and lazy morning. Our great achievement, we booked our flights to Germany! The end is now booked.

We caught a bus to Lima, sadly away from our oasis. The trip from Ica to Lima was straight from a science fiction movie. It was a desert, with a constant feel of ghost town all the way. There was a fog which made it hard to see very far, it reminded me of the 'radioactive or contaminated' air in the films.

When we arrived in Lima, there was fog all over the city! The taxi ride and traffic in Lima follows no rules. The driver will just sit across traffic to get across and the craziest intersections don't make sense. Every vehicle acts like the horn is part of the engine. then at the busiest intersections with traffic lights, there is one police officer with a whistle, controlling traffic. Two problems, the lights are still on and no one can hear the whistle. it was crazy.

We headed into the open air shopping centre for some dinner. This place has a kids amusement park in it with a raised monorail ride.
