Life in Oz!
After a breakfast of free toast and jam I was going to tour the Western Australia Museum with Tina and other roommate Collin but plans changed and I ended up going alone. I was in the museum for a long time. It was very interesting but also heaps of information. There was a bunch of school kids running around and yelling which isn't very conducive for a museum setting. After getting a sausage for lunch at a hot dog cart in the mall I got on a CAT bus hoping I would make it to the esplanade. I asked the lady sitting behind me if there was a lot to see there and she said no and directed me to Kings Park instead. Directions from Australians are never as easy as they sound but I managed to find the right away anyway. There was heaps to see with great views of the city as well. I walked back to the esplanade and got on another CAT bus, which ended up dropping me off outside the museum. The cheapest way to the airport tomorrow will be by bus so I went to the info centre and got a timetable for the bus I need to take. I came back to my hostel and ended up taking a short nap. I have an idea of where to get on the bus but not positive so I took a walk so I will know about how long it will take me tomorrow to get there. If I plan for a ½ hour, it should get me there in plenty of time so I'm not late. I saw a sign for a food court below the street in part of the mall that I hadn't been to yet but everything was already closed and it wasn't even 6pm yet. The mall isn't anything like Crossroads. Its just streets with shops all along it. I found another food court and a few places were still open. I got a dish of Chinese and it was wonderful. I came back to the hostel and sat in the common area to work on my journals to make sure I don't get behind, at least not yet. I met an Irish guy who invited me over to have a chat with them which I might do once I'm done with my journals. By the time i finished up my journals and tried to put them online Tina had come down and joined all the people so I sat down with her. I was pretty tired so I didn't stay long. It was interesting to listen to the conversations of a group of English, German, Kiwis and I think an Australian.
