Background
For a 3 day trip I experienced a real adventure, meeting and get hosted by the tribes who are living directly next to the river. It wasn't planned at all! I made a friend in Kudat (in Sabah) 2 weeks before and we planned to travel together around Kuching.
He is a guy, 35 years old, same as me don't want to book travel packages…
Hi my friends! My intention to go so far away is to experience a great adventure. I'm looking forward to see lovely parts of the world, meet foreign people, people with other culture backgrounds but also like minded people. Also, I'm very excited of new job experiences and of a new kind of independence. My plan is see to the some beautiful spots in Thailand, explore Australia, New Zealand, India and what ever comes.

I gave to buy a new camera, because I live now in such a paradise I have to show you! Live in here has a high quality.
Many hugs.

Hallo Jiji, what a nice "Robinsonade" you are writing about, which is certainly a lot more interesting than the jungle camp broadcasted on German TV, even though it reminds me a bit, especially the Titanic songs during the night :-) The copper coloured rocks look so nice! I suppose the oyster banks now look more tasty than beautiful to you!? I hope you`ll buy a water (and sand) proof camera soon in order to go on showing us the very far away world through your eyes. I whish you good luck an health, mami

"The bull shark, Carcharhinus leucas, also known as the Zambezi shark or unofficially Zambi in Africa and Nicaragua shark in Nicaragua, is a shark commonly found worldwide in warm, shallow waters along coasts and in rivers. The bull shark is known for its aggressive nature, predilection for warm shallow water, and presence in brackish and freshwater systems including estuaries and rivers.
The bull shark can thrive in both saltwater and freshwater and can travel far up rivers. They have even been known to travel as far up the Mississippi River as Illinois, and in the Ohio River, [2] although there have been few recorded freshwater attacks. They are probably responsible for the majority of near-shore shark attacks, including many attacks attributed to other species." That`s what Wiki says about bull sharks, my dear Jiji, so its not that much amazing to meet them in rivers. (Didn`t know that before!) Be careful please and don`t share the swimming and surfing area with them :-) :-( So nice to read your first report from Australia. Looking forward to your photos from the outback. Love, your mother

Seems to prove that you are really in Australia now :-) with a lead (or should I say an advantage) of 9 hours compared to Germany. Hope you`re fine and looking foreward to the adventures on the fifth continent now. Wish you good luck, my dear!!!
