After nearly 3 month working and living on an organic farm I can tell it will be hard to give up this life.
Shambhala Farm has given me a great experience to learn more about the hole process of organic veggies (from producing nutrient for the soil, sowing seedlings, weeding, harvest and selling). Also this farm has a lot of international volunteers which makes the communal life so interesting. I have made so great friends for life. I have learned more about tolerance and sharing and got amazing music. It is so great to meet other people of different countries!
The farm is an awesome place with a spiritual touch. We have huge trampoline, a yoga "temple", hammocks, palms everywhere, bambus shower and compost toilet, we live closely to the beach and Noosa town and creeks and waterfalls are reachable by car. I will never forget this great trip with my friend to Noosa Shore with a 4wheel drive car driving and sleeping next to the beach.
Whereas most Volunteers worked on the fields or on building projects, my focus was more on marketing. This has given me great experience of having complete control over all design aspects and working with the farmer very closely to produce a good end result of website, ebooks, flyer and some fb campaigns. Concerning work, this organic farm provided me with a good conscience because I'm standing behind it- which is very important to me.
Even after my stay here on the farm I will keep working for them and hopefully come back in one year and seeing the changes. This farm is just 2 years old and so many things build up in even the last 3 month, which I was part of.
