Elaina, used my British voice today! Drive to Swindon. Train to Paddington station, London. Subway to Victoria station. Walked to Double Tree Hotel. Now our adventure in London begins. Time for beer! Lunch at Bag O' Nails Pub. Passed the Mews on our way to Buckingham Palace, the official residence of her majesty The Queen. Toured the state rooms saw paintings by Rembrandt & Ruben. The ballroom was set for a banquet, with displays of three days of preparation for such an occasion. The back lawn was impressive. We continued by walking down Birdcage. Arrived at the corner where the Parliament and Westminster Abby draw a crowd. Big Ben rang as we stood in the multitude of people specking multitude of languages. Crossed the river Thames watching shell canes, the river cruises and the London Eye. Taxi time!!!!!
Walton Street is lined with restaurants. We selected Rodizio Pieto. More food than any one person should eat...they kept coming to our table with different meats. Everything wonderful!
