Up early, the Hilton allowed us to take our breakfast to go. At midi station passed through customs then security before boarding the Eurostar train 9113 for London. The train glided through the Belguim countryside as I watched the wheat and corn crops whisk by. Could see more scenery than on the A40. The highways are edged with high fences. Then came the dark, one knew we were under the English Chanel. Again light, and a different countryside, as in Europe, England has signs of energy progress; propellers on sticks. Very comfortable ride with occasional turberance as trains were passing. Arrived London, UK at 9 am, now to find our way to Swindon. First took the local Hammersmith to Paddington station. Then the Great Western to Swindon. We had map, but occasionally stopped to ask if on correct train, everyone very friendly. Unable to reach the Miller's with Vonage, therefore took a taxi, looked like old London taxi, but was new! In Swindon, house after house, not much yard. Mostly "car park" in front of house. Drivers aggressive, zoom... Zoom. Most signs in English, but new words, aberdashery? To Sara's surprise, arrived at in Shrivenham. Walked to lunch at College Farm then off by car to Swinden to buy bicycles.
