Day 4 - the worst day so far

Well a good night sleep didn't happen, in fact hardly any sleep happened at all. It seemed that every single rabies riddled dog was attending the dog barking and howling party that was on that night, the girls next door was chucking up most of the night, bless her, then the birds started tweeting, I swear, right outside our window and then the locals were havin a chin wag in the garden at 6.30 am - nightmare!

We got up, showered and then Sinead felt a bit dodgy, but went to get food to hopefully sort it out. After just sitting down to look at the menu Sinead had ordered Matt to bring a take away toast with butter back to the room and then hotfooted it out of there. After about 30mins downtime and consuming the toast we hit the road from Mae Hong Son to Mae Chaem.

We drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove and drove. ......

What did we see along the way?

1) a really steep hill upwards

2) a manky dog

3) a really steep hill downwards

5) a really steep hill upwards

12) shanty towns, plenty of them

What did we get?

a) Sore Arses

b) hungry

e) sunburnt

f) burnt (Matt off the exhaust)

g) lost

h) dirty

i) sick of hills going upwards and downwards

We finally arrived in Mae Chaem, which has feck all here and took over 4 hours to get to, so tonight we really are looking forward to a good nights sleep before we head off on our last leg tomorrow where we can stop off at waterfalls and hot springs along the way.
