Once again we come to the end of our week in the snow, it passes more quickly every year! We've had a wonderful time and it's sad to say goodbye, but I'm sure we will be back!! Meanwhile, we are on our way to Tokyo for a few days downtime before returning to Hong Kong. It was lovely to enjoy our last views of the snowy countryside on our journey to the airport.

On arrival at New Chitose we checked in for our domestic flight to Tokyo, Haneda. The lady at check-in asked us if we would like to upgrade to First Class and, although the journey is short, it was so ridiculously cheap that we did it! We sat at a little wine bar before going airside and, once on board, we were so pleased that we had decided to splash out. Wonderful, comfy seats, a lovely meal and, of course, champagne! There was even a charging pack to top up our phones, as well as in-flight wi-fi, all very lovely.

Once at Haneda we caught the train on the Keikyu line to Shinagawa, not far from our hotel. It was quite a struggle getting our luggage on and off trains, up and down escalators and over to the hotel but we did it. Eventually made it to the Strings by Intercontinental and checked in. It was getting late so Simon went down for drinks and we were pleased to get an early night after a tiring day.
