Yesterday we set off on a speed boat to Koh Mak, another Island which is a bit more remote! (As you can tell from the name of the blog) It only took 50mins. After being driven round by a driver who clearly only wanted to take us to the places where he'd get commission, we eventually decided on a home for the night. A modern bungalow with a 30 second walk to the beach! A bit more luxurious than what we've been used to. However we could only spend one night here so spent a lot of the afternoon strolling along the beach looking for a home for the next night. Once we'd eventually found a place we chilled out and watched the sunset before sprucing up for dinner.
Today we came to our new home about 11am. It's beautiful! We are paying less money and our little bungalow (or Wendy house as we have named it) has a sea view! We decided to rent a kayak to paddle over to a nearby Island, although we soon discovered that this was not gonna be possible with the strong current.. Oh and not long after that we capsized! So that was the end of our fun :( The rest of the afternoon/ evening has been lovely though. The host here does the most amazing food! Other than eating and drinking we also lazed around in various hammocks and basically just chilled out (again!!) Tomorrow we head back to Koh Chang and then to Bangkok the next day ready for our flight to Vietnam! A taster of Island life has been great. We are a bit gutted we can't stay another night at this beautiful place!
