After a lovely couple of days spent with Jade back in Kuta and Seminyak we said our goodbyes at the airport :(
Just the two of us once again, me and Samuel headed 30mins North, to the more tranquil Canggu.
Although our first day was rather dark and gloomy, we soon fell in love with this perfect place! We rented a scooter and explored the different beaches, driving through lush green rice paddies.
Whilst exploring we found ourselves at a shop/restaurant/skate park called Deus where Samuel fell in love with the customised motorbikes. Whilst there we spotted they had a 'Sunday Sessions' night on, so ended up having dinner there before moving to the back yard for a cheeky Bintang. Once the music started the place was soon packed and the cheeky Bintang turned into a few more. When the guy did a couple of Ben Howard covers we were sold. Such a cool place and a great Sunday fun day!!
We spent the next morning at Batu Balong where Samuel hit the waves whilst I played photographer.. The waves looked a bit big for me just yet!
Feeling slightly peckish, we headed to Crate cafe for which we had seen a couple of good pics of. I think this has turned out to be our local lunch spot whilst in Canggu! Again, it is the coolest place with amazing fresh (and healthy!) food and cool people.
We finished our afternoon with a delightful massage on the beach!
After another morning spent at Batu Balong today we headed back to our new 'local' for another incredible lunch.
In the afternoon I went to a yoga class which was held in a bamboo tree house! I am planning to return tomorrow morning (if I'm not too achey) for another class whilst Samuel hits the crossfit gym we discovered today. I don't think this place could be any more perfect for us!!
Another lovely day was finished off with a BBQ and couple of beers/ciders at Echo beach :)
We are here until Friday when we head back to Seminyak for the weekend film festival. I'm sure up until then it will be much of the same- surfing, great food, yoga, music and drinks! It is safe to say we do not want to leave this place, however there are still so many places to see in our last 4 weeks in Asia!!x
