Living in China - Beijing
Giverny is really worth a visit just to see Monet's house, garden and Les Nympheas. The village is very small and quite expensive so opted to stay in a campsite at Les Andely's which was based on a small chateaux and extremely cheap. 12 euros for a tent with 2 people and a car parking space.
Arrived in Giverny at 8.30 am ready for Monet's house to open. 9 Euros for a ticket. It is worth going straight down to the lily pond before the crowds arrive and actually enjoy the peace and tranquility that he once did. The lily's were just starting to come through but Autumn may prove a better time to see them in full bloom.
The local coffee shops sell some lovely snacks but are quite expensive.
Gardens are open from March through October.

Viv See you are back in Europe. Hope you are well. Paul and I visited Giverney a number of years ago and it's stunning. We have been to Tanzania tracking chimpanzees, absolutely amazing. 70th birthday so had to do something special.
