Vicky and Sam's travelling '08
The boat took 3 hours which was quite surprising as we thought it is only a short distance between the North and South Island. the weather was horrible when we got off the ferry it was raining and cold. the driver took us to a winery on the way to Nelson, Sam and I were still feeling the effects of our night out in Wellington so passed on the wine tasting.
Nelson is very popular for its water sports such as kayaking and its walks as it hosts the Abel Tasmin National Park. the National park is well worth venturing into when the weather is fine unfortunately for us while we stayed here the weather was bad, so it wasnt really an option. Luckily the hostel had a good TV room so we spent some time watching films and we took a walk into the town.

ferry I found the post quite interesting specially the ferry travel between the islands. I love to travel with cheap ferries between the islands across Europe. Can you provide some information on cheap ferries between the UK and New zealand?
