We arrived in Phuket really late to rain and were uncermoniously crammed into a minibus with about 10 other people! After about 10minutes of playing tetris with our bags to make them all fit we were on our way! We chatted to an australian girl for the hour long trip, picking up travel tips on thailand, and then were dropped at our hotel. It was an absolute palace compared to anywhere else we had stayed up until that point as it had air con in our own room, next to the pool and with satellite TV! The next day we wandered around the beach in the morning and then had a delicious thai curry for lunch. The weather turned bad after that so we headed back and Rory started the last Harry Potter while I, having already read it, played on his new PSP and taunted him about what was going to happen in the book! That evening we had a taste of the unusual phuket nightlife consisting mainly of old men with young thai girls, but we eventually found some aussies of out age and had a fun evening chatting with them.
