We started out at 7 in the morning from Koh Phangan. We had to get a taxi then a boat then a taxi then a mini bus then another mini bus then we had to get in and out of the mini bus three times with all our luggage. Then we had to wait in the hot stinking mini bus while the man proceeded to wash his car four times. Then we had to sit scruched up in the front next to the really sweaty and stinky taxi man who insisted on putting his arm above his head and stinking us to death. Then we got to Malaysian border and out we got again twice with all our luggage! Then we finally arrived where we thought was our final destination at 9pm however then realised we were in Butterworth not penang. So on we got again and went on another 2 hour ride to penang (as the ferries werent working). Got there at about 11 at night. Found some accom and slept. Then woke up had breakfast and got a proper bus with all the locals to the ferry port. Jumped on the ferry to Butterworth again and then jumped on what was known as a VIP bus to Kuala Lumpar. And trust me it was VIP with air con and lay back seats it was bliss after our previous day of travelling!! So there we are not much to tell about Penang. Just a stop over really as running out of time and have to be in Singapore to catch a fligh in 2 days!!
