Shopping at NESS and all the rest-
First stop today was a little shopping at my new favorite clothes store, NESS! I am so excited to sport some fun clothes after wearing the same things for 2 months! Took the few New Edinburgh Tour and saw SO many things I won't be able to write about them all! Here's the quick list: Scott Monument, churches, Cathedrals, Grassmarket, Greyfriars Bobby and Cemetery, George Hariots School, Princes Street Gardens, Mercat Cross, St. Giles, the Nelson Monument and more! Had dinner at Gordon's Trattoria. Goat cheese and roasted red pepper bruschetta with chicken-pesto penne and a local soft drink called IRN BRU (Iron-Brew) that has an orange color and an almost bubble gum flavor. YUM! The best part was Banoffi Pie at the end! I need to learn to make this Banana, toffee, crumbled butter biscuit, whip cream and chocolate shaving dessert when I get back home! The weather was sunny and the day was a great mix of learning, photography, walking, food, and shopping! I have booked my ticket back to the USA and can see through to the end of this trip already. I'd be so sad if I weren't so looking forward to giving travel presents to Kelly and my family!
Lessons learned: One thing to do to sound Scottish is drop the T's in the middle of words.
