A Sunny Blessing.
Walked down to town today to say good morning to Vary and buy the last things I need to make dinner tomorrow night before I set out on a wonderful bike ride! Rode by a beautiful cemetery, up high to the meditation rock, through farms, and along the sea. After work Vary drove us out to Altar Wedge Tomb that was built of local stone slabs 3000-2000 B.C.! I have a hard time even comprehending something that old. The beaches were sunny and people were even swimming today! We continued on to 3 Castle Head for a sit on the pier and a short hike out to the Castle ruins. The ocean, beaches, cliffs, piers, sheep, cows, horses, and stone work made this walk so overwhelmingly stunning. Every corner we turned I drew a quick breath because I felt shocked by the beauty. There is a yellow flower here called Gorse that runs all through the landscape and it makes sense why the Irish flag is green and gold when you see it here. The sea wind, exercise and guiness have made me tired tonight, so I will say goodnight.
IRISH BLESSING
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
