At Home in Ireland
Woke up before 6:30 for breakfast and a quick walk to the bus terminal. Drove through Innishannon, Bandon, Cloanakil TY, Rosscarbery, Leap and Skibereen before we made it to Schull with only a minor bus accident incident (the bus driver took a narrow street too close and took off his side mirror and shattered the window). Surprised my Aunty Vary by coming in early. I had a chance to wander around the little town and take a walk by the sea. There is such a fresh, sweet smell here that makes even the air seem happy. I had fun shopping for groceries in the local market. Sat in the sun on the deck at Vary's and enjoyed Irish butter on bread, cheeses and Irish tea as we chatted. Walked around the neighborhood and scarfed a yummy home made meal of roast chicken, carrots, purple sprouting broccoli, and potatoes with some Italian vino! I feel so HOME in Ireland. I can't put my finger on what thing it is exactly, but I just feel cozy and welcome and familiar here somehow.
Tomorrow Plans: Explore by the sea and take a 3 Castle Head walk with Vary

Terry This is my favorite entry so far, Sarah. Maybe Ireland seems home-like because it's damp and green??
courtney I agree with Terry, I think that you may have lived there in a past life!! :) I am so excited about you joining me in texas but enjoy the green and beauty. It's a little hot and humid here! Love ya!
