The last couple days I've spent wandering around different areas of Tokyo. For Ash Wednesday I went to Yotsuya Station, which is by Sophia University, and participated in a Japanese Mass at a church named St. Ignatius. The Japanese people are so cute, it was a packed Mass and during the "peace be with you" everybody turns in all different directions and does a waist-deep bow.

Getting to Yotsuya station wasn't so hard, Kaki helped me buy a Pass-mo Tokyo Metro pass which works sort of like an I-pass, except that you keep it in your purse/wallet and hold it over the sensor as you pass through a gate. But, on my trip back to Roppongi Station, it took me forever to find the right exit that led back to Kaki's apartment complex. She lives a five minute walk away from the station, but it took me at least a half hour! The station is huge (at least it felt that way).

We made dumplings the other night and I immediately thought of Chinese class and "bao jiaozi". They tasted really good, Kaki is a good cook!

I ventured out to Akihabara today which is known as "Electric Town" because of all the electronic goods you can find here. There is a giant shopping mall that has about 8 floors and it is jam-packed with all sorts of electronic appliances, from DVDs to computers to toys to washer & dryer machines!

Tonight, one of Kaki's friends is throwing a 70s/80s themed party at a nearby club he rented out. This is definitely going to be interesting. And I just found out that Nate will be in Tokyo on Tuesday, yay!
