What an amazing day. We caught the cable car, then the train then a couple more cable cars to reach the second highest peak in Europe Schilthorn- Piz Gloria - also the site of the 007 movie ( Anna Hooper knows it well I think). We are on the train from Geneva to Lauterbrunnen in the Swiss alps. Such beautiful scenery - snow capped mountains, green hillsides with clusters of houses, vineyards, trees coming into bud. So picturesque it is hard to believe it is real. So here we are in a truly beautiful valley liking at majestic mountains. Wow!!

A short trip to York was a very chilly but interesting time. Heaps of history - we are ready for a break from history for a little while! The past few days have seen us educated about a great deal of English history- thanks to John Hooper and the Big Bus Commentary.
