Geoff N Sal Go Away
A short trip to York was a very chilly but interesting time. Heaps of history - we are ready for a break from history for a little while! It is a lovely city with a castle a wall and lots of old buildings and shops.
We were given a few challenges by our children. One of which was to drink a pint of beer. Well, first we tested about 12 different beers then drank one each. We drank it with our typical English dinner.
We visited a couple of museums. The quilt museum ... Don't bother going there, Jorvik - which is a fabulous museum that tells you about the Viking history of York, and the castle museum and also the tower that was once the royal castle in the north.

Suzanne Dean Hey Sal. Say hello to Harrogate from the Deans. We lived there for 3 years, from 2000 to end of 2002. We love North Yorkshire! Such fond memories of wonderful times. Keep up the Blog entries - it is a great way for us to share your adventures. xx
