The lack of a reception and organisation meant that even thou we were meant to check out the day before we managed to blag another night. At this point in time we hadn't yet paid for any of the accommodation in floripa, again down to the lack of organisation. We decided we were pushing our luck so booked up another hostel further south in the island. The time came where we had packed our bag and ready to go. We had the money to pay for the hilltop, however the lack of a reception made us wonder if in fact they'd thought we'd already paid. No one had asked us and no one seemed to be asking the question as we were packing our bag. As I mentioned before Zohan was blatantly a crazy ex military Israeli that had a physco side! This was the only thing stopping us but the prospect of 'saving' £150 was too tempting. When the coast was clear we bagged up and strolled out our room and out the hostel. Outside was one of the workers which presented a possibility of confrontation! 'see ya later, have a good rest of your trip'... We both sigh with relief and briskly walked on to the path. By this time it's a done deal and we continue the brisk pace not looking back. With a bit of luck the bus was waiting ready to go to Lagao from Barra. Once on, we skulk down and hope we don't get any crazy bald headed Jew rush on the bus. The five minutes waiting seems like an hour but finally the doors close and the bus sets off. Once at Lagoa there is a bus waiting to leave for Rio Tavers. Couldn't of happened smoother if the M15 had organised the switch. Once on, relaxation set in along with relief and happiness for the money saved. Surprisingly guilt wasn't there as I think we justified this to ourselves by saying it's his fault and we were actually doing him a favour by teaching him a lesson. We get off the bus and find the greenhouse hostel a short walk away. Once in everything from here goes smoothly, possibly because they have a reception! Dump the bags and jump in the pool! Yes a pool! Instantly we meet Josh, an Aussie, his missus Jess, a Canadian and Dan from England. We mess about in the pool until the evening when we have a BBQ organised. Good people, beer, plates of meat and £150 up. Not a bad way to start the evening and I know karma will probably come round to bite us in the arse and we'll get robbed in Bolivia or something but being £150 up and in Bolivia we'll more than likely be able to bribe the Bolivian karma. Heres to Zohan!
