Saw little Zens tooth for the first time on Skype and she was all wavy and smiley. Was nice to speak to everyone back home and hear about Mexico.

Somehow I managed to get roped into taking a day off for a hike up a mountain. It was sold to me on the understanding that it was a "walk around a state park" at which point I should have have looked further into it. I should have learnt that I hate hiking. Really, really hate it. But there I was wheezing and panting up a steep mountain clambering up rocks trying to finish the last leg of a 10 mile hike. Then at the top... Today Leah and I went to sushi Republic for dinner and then tried this gorgeous cake place afterwards called Maxy Bs. Best.cake.ever. We had an apple and cinnamon slice and a banana pudding cake and both were genuinely the nicest cakes I've ever tasted!
