Today was a free day so had a late start after breakfast of about 11 and wandered around the French quarter. Sat in a bar and listened to some jazz and went down to the river for a little ferry ride across the Mississippi then came back! Beth then on a whim decided she was going to get the musical note tattoo she had wanted for a while on her ankle and it looks super cute. We went back to the hotel for a rest (some of us were feeling tired and fragile) and then went to try out the Cajun fried chicken place on bourbon street again! After eating Emily decided she wanted a tattoo too and had always liked the word wanderlust so got that in fine writing on her foot. It's looks so pretty and dainty although it was hilarious being her tattooing partner (she was only allowed to chose one person to go with her into the room) as he would go to start and she would shout "wait! It's really permanent!". She said it was painful and squealed and moaned a lot while squeezing my hands but I think she was pretty pleased in the end! I then asked if he would fit me in to do my ear and he did it there and then so I know have a top cartilage piercing! Not quite a tattoo but I'm too indecisive for that! We wandered around the strip a bit then went back to bed and me and Emily shared a bed and in the other bed was Amy and Beth so it was cute on our last night together to have a little sleepover all together! Not looking forward to saying bye to Emily tomorrow though! :( TEAM PESTO
