The day began in a very relaxing way. Late breakfast followed by a late checkout. Then of to La Spezia. We had 3 hours to spend in La Spezia. Unfortunately it was Sunday so most of the place was closed. Not much to see...... On to Rome.

The train trip passed lots of countryside not dissimilar to Australian – minus the eucalypts of course. Once in Rome found our hotel, again not too far from the station and found a nice place for dinner.
