Training to Milan! The way to travel. There is no stress, great views and comfortable. We stopped in the town of Spiez for a bit over an hour. It was a very pretty town on a harbour surrounded by snow capped mountains.
The only snag we have had today is Stan's purple case has blown a tyre, so the pressure was on to make it to Milan to find a new bag!. Then when we made it to Milan we joined the crowds of shoppers. The shops were absolutely packed right up to 7pm on a Sunday night. The men seemed to be giving the women a run for their money in the purchasing stakes. Needless to say, Stan didn't find a suitcase he liked. If he couldnt find one in all of those department stores in Singapore, what hope does he have here?
The hotel is nice, convenient in the fact it is close to the train station and has an internet connection and a fridge. Still the hotels have no coffee making facilities in the room. Experienced our first hotel containing a bidet .
We again did not have to show passports when travelling from Switzerland to Italy. The only indication we had left Switzerland and entered Italy was the standard of the train stored at the train stations. They were old, rusty looking and covered in graffiti. The Italian train stations and areas surrounding the tracks had even more graffiti than Melbourne.
