Today we went to Bournemouth beach with its long promenade and pier. We walked though the gardens with it's stream, an aviary and a big balloon that was not going up due to the wind.
Then to the forest - well they call it a forest but it os mainly heathlands!! We enjoyed Burley. A small village where mum went to school - it wasn't touristy then but now its all about witches and ponies. The local pub we had lunch in today was called the Queens Head. To get our meal we had to dodge the New Forest ponies and the dogs.
On Wilverley Plain we let a pony out of the forest enclosure and it wouldn't leave me alone and harassed some children- maybe we should have left it in the forest though it shouldn't have been there.
Then down the road a little way to Setthorns Enclosure, where there is a caravan park in amongst the trees, where there are squirrels and rabbits everywhere. Harry Bulter Stan was in heaven!! This is Mum and Daves favourite caravan place.
