22:00 - I spent the day travelling today. I left the hotel in Santiago at 9am and at 9pm I was dropped off in Salvador de Bahia at Pousada Redfish where I am lodging for the next 4 nights. I flew forst to Sao Paolo and then had a connecting domestic flight into Salvador. The only excitement of the day was at destination where my pickup did not turn up so I took a taxi outside the airport after waiting a half hour and trying to call the agency. As the taxi approached the Pousada he drove through an area that would make the Bronx look up and coming... and as it turns out it's just around the corner from the hotel. The place itself is lovely and reminds me a little bit of the hotel in La Paz. I did intend going out to grab something to eat but in all honesty I didn't feel at ease in the dark around here, so I am waiting for daylight to venture out. With my luck I'd turn the wrong corner... So for tonight the trusted Club Social will have to do :-))) (crackers that have been a godsend throughout the trip).
