It took nine hours on a plane from Bangkok to Sydney, and Ali had booked me into Wake Up hostel in the town. Was good seeing him again as I had not seen him for about a month as he travelled with his bird and came to Australia earlier. We walked to Sydney harbour to see the opera house and the bridge. I thought the opera house would be alot bigger but it was still good. After a couple of hours of sight seeing, it was pretty obvious we were going to end up in a pub, so we went to scruffy murphys irish pub.

A lad called Johnny who me and Ali both met on the slow boat from Chiang Mai to Luang Probang in Laos was staying in Sydney so Ali rang him and him came down on the piss with us. We got proper smashed, and as I was still jetlagged/drunk I fell asleep in scruffy murphys and the bouncer nudged me to wake up ha we went back to our hostel which had a bar underneath it called the side bar, and ended up nearly falling asleep in there too!!

The next night we went the bottle shop to buy goon. Its what most backpackers drink as its cheep and cheerful. four litres of wine for $10. It actually does not taste too bad once you get used to it, at first it tastes like piss!! We ended up drinking goon every day until we left sydney.

We went to a beach called coogee beach so we could do a walk to bondi beach, it was really good, saw a bit of culture for a change rather than a box of goon. We finally got to bondi beach, and i rented a surf board out. I got up a couple of times, and was waiting for a wave, and i got a massive sting on my arm. It was a blue bottle jellyfish, and the tenticles were wrapped around my arm, as I was pulling it off, it got stuck around my watch. It was f***ing killing, and I was getting out of the sea the life guard put a warning out for people to get out of the water as its not safe. Ali offered to piss on my arm but I would rather have a w*** with sand paper.

The whole time I was in Sydney we did not go anywhere of a night apart from the side bar. On the last night we planned to go to Kings Cross to see what that was like, but we ended up getting a box of goon each and as we went down to the side bar, we were waiting in the queue to get in. The bouncer asked Ali how much we had had to drink....you should really say two or three pints...f***ing Ali says a couple of boxes of goon between us!! the bouncer straight away said your too drunk get out of the queue ha funny
