AJ Hackett Minjin Swing and Bungee

Today was incredible! We were picked up from our hostel and whisked straight to the mountain for our morning, signing endless disclaimers...basically saying if we died we would't sue them!

We did the Minjin swing first which all 3 of us could do at once! We were strapped into our harnesses and then raised 40m. Emms had to then release the wire and we hurtled towards the ground and then swung up at 120kph! Loads of hilarious photos mid action with our sexy hairnets and helmets! This was our bungee warm up! Off the swing and straight onto the bungee up many flights of stairs! Walking up and waiting at the top was pretty scary, managed to calm the nerves when being strapped in, but the moment when you reach the edge of the platform and then man lets go of you is horrible! I tried not to look down. He started to count down and then I just made myself leap into the swan dive! The freefall was terrifying and you can't help but let out a roar of a scream, then suddenly you spring but up and realise you are safe again! Vicki followed and then Emms, all very proud of ourselves! Free tees and certificates to make our achievement! Home for souvenir shopping on our last day in Cairns. Pretty rainy today but hot rain. Interesting supper when we couldn't get the oven to work so resorted to microwaving our pizza...soggy is all I need to say! Off to bed now and up at 5.15am to catch the bus down to Townsville our next stop where we will be staying on Magnetic Island for 2 nights! Missing home (and home comforts) a little but still enjoying ourselves! Must dash off to pack! x
