Hi All, This Morning I am sat in a Motel in Jacksonville, North Carolina. It's been awhile since we've been able to update as most the motels have free interent, you just have to have a pc to use it-you were right Kev, should have brought the laptop! Anyway since we left NYC, its been all go. Through New Jerssy to Atlantic city which was bizaar, from rich posh hotels, like Trump Taj Mahal to 0.99c shops all along the boardwalk. It is also the first place to have a board walk and the place where Salt water Taffy was invented! It was then on a Ferry to Delware and through Maryland. Lots of seaside houses and beaches and loads of resturants selling shrimp and crab. We actually drove through both states-stopping a few times at iunteresting places-but made it into Virginia by evening. Virginia was great, we satayed in Chincoteaque which has a reserve where there are still wild ponies. Fabulous susets and countryside, from huge farms to swamps.We ate at an all you can eat buffet and Jo had crab. Then we drove through Virginia's coast accross a huge bridge/tunnel system, 15 miles long and had ice cream at Doumars-the place the invented the ice cream cone. Went to the imaginativley called Virginia Beach and did touristy things like aquarium vists etc. Yesterday was a lot of driving though it wasnt planned that way. The North Carolina outer beaches are amazing. We spent time in Kitty Hawk at the wright brothers memeorial, ate lunch on the beach, caught 2 ferries, saw the biggest stone lighthouse in the USA, and finally got into Jacksonville at 1:30 am.
