Hey!
So its been a few days since we last updated you, lots has been going on.
When we last posted, we where at Khoa Yao Noi, it was very nice. No tourists and nice beaches. The majority of the island was Muslim so there was no bacon and we stuggled to find beer. Our stay there was cut short as they had a power cut and were in no rush to rectify it.
We then headed to Krabi, Railey Bay. First impressions werent so good as the tide was out so we had to wade through the water with our bags. However we both liked Railey. There lots to do. On the Island there arent any cars so Rox and Ali tracked down a nice hotel and went in a tractor to go and collect the boys with the bags.
We both experienced our first thai massage which was good altough they do bend you alot!
We spent a few days on the beach and also checked out a cave nearby which was very cool.
The next day we hiked up a mountain in search for a lagoon and the viewpoint. We got to the viewpoint which seemed reasonably easy to hike. The view was beautiful so we decided to go onwards and upwards to the lagoon.....it turned out alot more difficult than we thought, there was sheer drops one after another with a muddy slippy rope to use. When we finally arrived we all agreed it was well worth it. The turqoise water surrounded by cliffs, the water was freezing and there was a cool echo. Previous climbers had made and left faces sculpted out of the red mud.
We where going to go to Chiang Mai but we've heard bad things being reported on the news so we've decided not to instead we got a flight to Bangkok with Trevor & Ali. They where due to go home so we spent the last day together by going to the zoo, popping to the mall and going to see a "ping pong" show. We where sad to leave them but hopefully we can visit them at the end of the trip before we fly home.
We had to get up at stupid O'clock this morning and get on a bus to go to Cambodia. Rox has been really ill all day and had to ask the driver to keep pulling over so she could be sick...nice! We've arranged to go on a private sight seeing tour of the temples tomorrow so we'll update soon.
Missing people from home but not enough to want to come home!
Love
Jason & Roxanne
