Hello everyone,
So we headed to Ko Phi Phi which is wear most of you will know the beach was filmed so we had high expecatations and was really excited. However our disapointment soon followed once we checked into our over priced dingy bungalow which was nice. We had a stroll along the beach and it was filthy, there was rubbish all along the shore and the water was polluted. We were both gutted. Its a very commercialised area, not much of the Thai culture left which we've both grown to love. In our opionion the built up area has spoiled the paradise which it once was.
We went on a snorkelling trip which was really good, some of the things that we saw included a sea snake, live coral, giant clams and lots of pretty fish. Jay also got a sea urchin in his knee, we visited lots of different areas to snorkel and also went to a monkey beach which was really good, we feed them pringles.
We then went to a seafood restuarant and tried lobster & Jay had swordfish...really good. We both have been thinking for a while of getting bamboo tattoos so we picked our designs and went back an hour later to get them done. My sister Mick will be disowning as she reads this! Rox found hers painful. Overall really good day.
We then decided to leave Phi Phi and head to somewhere that hasnt been spoilt, so we are now at Koh Yao Noi which is alot nicer.
Today we headed to a fish farm on our scooters which we hired, saw lots of big fish and got to holf some of them. It was cool.
We're thinking of hiring kayaks and going over to a little beach in the distance
