Evenin all! Well, it is here anyway so we've just settled down to a game of scrabble and a few beers. Gonna have to make it a quick one this time i'm afraid coz it's coming up to my turn and i've got some good letters...

Been to the Summer Palace today, had planned to go earlier in the week but our sleeping patterns have made it a bit a difficult! Anyway it was well worth the wait; anyone who's been watching Around the World in 80 Gardens might have seen it already last week?! The grounds are massive so we've done loads of walking but the views have been amazing! We spent some time enjoying them from the banks of the lake whilst sunning ourselves and listening to a local man playing the flute (i think he was just making stuff up but Jules seemed to enjoy it! Dave was just asleep!)

Got back about 6ish after having walked for the past 5 hours and headed straight for a restaurant where the lady at the counter didn't have the slightest idea what i was trying to ask for so we decided to head back to the hostel to unleash our secret weapon..."The Saint"! He took us on a treck to the other side of town to a small Dumpling Bar where we ordered lots of everything along with a few bottles of beer that got served in the smallest glasses i've ever seen! Not much bigger than a shot glass?!

So that brings us up to now and i'm winning at scrabble so i'm heading back into the ring to retain my title!
