Having reached the end of the Great Ocean Road we took the faster route back to the beginning stopping to enjoy a walk along the beach and river at Barwon Heads. Spotted this stick insect on our walk. Initially we were concerned when we discovered the location of our hotel, it was next to a 6 lane road which was next to the main railway line and another road. Our room was in fact two bedrooms, a huge boardroom, a kitchen and a bathroom and was probably bigger than our first house! It was fully glazed so no road noise and we enjoyed a swim in the hotel pool. We went to the water front at Geelong for dinner at the "Sailors Rest" restaurant, chosen for its name. The food was excellent and plentiful.
