Day 31 - cont The honeymoon starts hot with a trip to Hot Water Beach - there are natural springs in the sand - so it's dig, dig, dig to make a small pool to sit in. Day 32 Drive to Takou Bay nr Keri Keri After a HUGE drive on a bank holiday weekend we arrive in the lovely secluded house of Takou Bay Lodge - an amazingly beautiful place where the only thing you can hear is the sound of the crickets. Hi all We have now landed at our last destination Takou Bay in the Bay of Islands. We have four nights of honey moon before we start our journey home - boo hoo! Day 27After a trip to the beauty parlour and cliff get his hair cut -its back to the Fothergill's to pack - it's pouring with rain! We cook a BBQ for our hosts in the evening and to Cliff's delight they have a charcoal kettle BBQ! Day 15 Hello All Well after 3 days of rain in Kaikoura we decided to get into the water - or rather I did and Cliff watched (only 1 place available on standby) - a lifelong ambition come true! Day 16 - driving to Picton for the ferry to Wellington The car has broken down again and we're struggling to move - which is a bit worrying as we have a 7 hour drive to New Plymouth tomorrow. b*****! At least the sun has come out in Wellington though!
