We spent a couple of days here at the start of our trip before heading to Chang Mai but we returned to Bangkok to spend a few days seeing the sites at the end of our time in Thailand.
Our first few days were spent geting used to the heat in Thailand as its incredibily humid! We met up with a group of university friends our first night here and got a baptism of fire when it comes to the night life here. To say we were drunk is an understatement!
We are staying on Kosan Road which is full of backpackers from all over the world and there are market stalls everywhere. Selling anything, from clothes to samurai swords! There is pubs and restuarants and a few clubs so there is plenty to do. We also visited Bangkoks infamous Pat Pong market which is a bit sleazy.
There is plenty of culture here as well though and we visited The Grand Palace, the national museum and gallery and saw a couple of Wats. They are all really ornate and there is gold everywhere so they are very impressive.
Lastly we went on a day trip to the floating market and Rose garden where they do shows that showcase Thai dancing and explained about Thai culture. We liked it in Bangkok once we got the hang of the place and i would come back even if it was just for the lethal Whisky buckets!
