Bula!!!!

Sorry i havent written since i got to Fiji, intenert is expensive here and not so accessible. Plsu i havent been doing that much so there isnt that much to write about!!!
Arrived in Nadi (pronounced Nandi, everything in Fijian is said very differently to how it is spelt). I managed to meet up with Lee in Nadi and we travelled south to the bottom of Viti Levu to a backpackers called the Mango Bay resort. it was a nice place and had a beach. it was sunny the sirst day, but after that it was cloudy and therefore actually very cold! Jeans and jumper weather. so we spent the four days playign scrabble and s***head in the restaruant! On sunday we travelled back to Nadi and booked ourselves on a little boat trip for four days. On Monday we got the boat to a tiny island called Bounty Island, whcih we walked the whole way round in less that 15 minutes! You can see from one side to the other! it only has one resort. it is also where Celebrity Love island was filmed if anyone watched that (er, not me) btu had such delights at abbi titmus, rebecca loos and bepe out of eastenders. the islanders are very rpoud of this, and the rep from the resort was very upset when we didnt recognise him (as apparently he appeared in the programme). Tomorrow we leave for another island, Manta Ray island in the Yasawas (Bounty island is in the Mamanucas group of islands). There are supposed to be lots of manta rays there so that should be cool to go snorkelling. The weather has been beautiful since we got to the islands, i can evern wear my bikini and not be cold, although you still need jeans and a jumper at night.
Fiji is a really nice place, the people are incredibly friendly. it is a very poor island, the people mostly live in 1 or two room bures (huts) which are very poor. i dont really know why i was surprised about how poor people are, but i was. however that hasnt stopped this being one of the most rediculously expensive places i have been to. everything is as expensive if not more so than home, making staying here quite an expensvie trip i had planned to do lots of island hopping, but when you are paying 250 dollars for a tin shack (the accomodation and food really arent that great) it is not worth it,. so we are just doing the four days before we go back to nadi where it is much cheaper to stay and eat. i think if you want to come to fiji and are not used to slightly rubbish accomodation already you need to pay a lot of money and stay in a 5 star resort.
Apart from that i havent been doing very much! just lying on the beach reading my book!
I am home two weeks today! so be prepared to be bored with travelling stories soon enough....
