We left thailand to head down to Kuala Lumpur. It was a long broken up journey with lots of bus changes. The change between thailand and malysia was amazing, as soon as you crossed the border the roads and scenery looked like england!
Kuala Lumpur was really fun. We stayed for a few days and went sightseeing. Edd played golf while I went to a huge open air bird park. We went to the Petronas Towers, the world tallest twin towers, not sure if they had this record before 9/11! We went up to the top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower which had an amazinfg view of the city and was 450m high. On the way we went on a G-Force ride, it's a big ball that throws you up in the air really fast. We have got a video of it which is really fun.
There are loads of malls and we went to a mega mall to see a film which was great as they are all in english. This was quite funny as we got the jokes before the rest of the cinema who were reading the chinese and malay subtitles.
We really enjoyed Kuala Lumpur, it's a lovely city and great martkets as well. We then moved on to Singapore.
When we got there we meet a couple who had been looking for a room for 2 hours which made us a bit worried. But as usual we found a room quite quickly and it was great. It had a tv and dvd player, shower for about 15 quid. We got there on New Year's Eve and went out. We stayed in Little India and the streets were full of Indian men but no women at all. Apparently they were all working! We had a few drinks by the river but a 4 quid a pint we couldn't get pissed. We sawe some good fireworks but missed everyone at home down the pub then went back and watched some films.
We went to see the world's largest fountain but it wasn't working so we were a bit gutted. We spent most of 2nd January at the airport waiting to fly to Australia.
