Today my school is the world and my classroom is the weirdest show anyone could ever see. LADY BOYS!
First I've got to tell you what they are. They are men that are crazy and took drugs to make them look like ladies. They either take drugs to make their breast change or they get plastic surgery. They cover their face with make up and some times get plastic surgery on their face. In the lady boys show all the "ladies" sing but they are not actually singing they are lip-syncing to the music. They also dance to music like one lady had a blue Afro and another dressed up like Marilyn Monroe. I was amazed that some of them actually looked like ladies but some didn't.
Then it was sort of my choice but we saw some good Thai boxing the next day. There were 3 knockouts in 8 rounds. I was having a blast then I looked at the schedule and got disappointed because there was only 1 big guy match. it was the only non Thai people- an Italian vs. Australian. They came out with their white skin and big muscles and when they punched the first punch I knew the Aussie would win. Why? Because the Italian looked like a nervous nerd. I do wish there was one more thing, here it is. I wanted more big guys with lots of knockouts. I got lucky and got to see some blood. My Mom said I seem like such a nice girl, she didn't know I was so blood thirsty. I didn't know this either. Thai boxing is not just beating each other up though. It is not just punching it is a ceremony. When they are not fighting they are hugging. Before the fight they even do a culture dance and pray.
Then I got all settled down by a little culture show. It showed me all the different things that they do in Thailand like all the different things they do in all the all the different villages. There were even elephants and goats on the stage. At one point they totally made fun of us westerners by having people that were extra tall with giant big heads and they were dancing around acting wiggly moving parts of the body that we shake but they wouldn't dare to. They made fun of us. I didn't figure this out until after the show when we were all talking about it. When I got it I couldn't believe they were so rude! I guess that is what we look like to them! Anyway, I had a lot of fun and I wish I could do it again!
Over and out

Gran Gautney Hi Rosie, Well, you never know quite where learning will come from but what an unusual adventure you had. It is quite different what various cultures value and how they express those values! Keep writing; it is always interesting! Love, Gran
