When I first new we were going to Petra I thought Petra is a town and there are a lot of monuments there. But no Petra is like one big monument made out of rocks with a little town next to it where the tourists stay. I was really really amazed that Petra is a town of Bedouins. Bedouins are people that live in the desert and have no house, but to these Bedouins they love having the desert as their home. I asked a Bedouin if he would rather get a nice house or if he would rather stay here. He said he loves nature and never wants to leave his home. Now let me tell you what they live in and what they have. The Bedouins live in a tent or a cave. There are loads of caves around and a cave can make it very shady. Each Bedouin family usually has around 6 donkeys at a maximum and 2 donkeys at a minimum. Unless they are a camel family, then they will have a lot of camels. Some people do only have one camel because they take up a lot of room, but donkeys don't and they are small and really cute! Now let me tell you about what Petra looks like. So at first when you are not at the Bedouin town where they live there are a lot of canyons that you walk through and that is very interesting. Then you come into the Bedouin place and you are just amazed about what you see I mean there were natural caves and there were buildings that were carved by ancient people and there were some really cool caves were all the natural colors were there was yellow, black, red, and blue. All I can say is it was one amazing monument! Indiana Jones was filmed at one of them.

P.s On our way back a little boy it seems has not learned yet how to be part of the world was getting in this lady space and bothering her. Her husband was not with her so she was scared and crying and asked for help so we came and told them to leave her alone then they started fighting with us too. Then an French lady came and shared her tissues with the crying lady then my mom said when the boy started coming at her you don't touch me to the boy then a nice horse rider came and told the boys to apologize and leave then said… POLICE WILL COME. Most people are so nice but there are some that are wild. PP.s Most of the Bedouins were made to leave the caves and go live in tents or homes in Petra. Only about 30 families still live in the caves. PPP.s In 1963 some French hikers were all killed in Petra during a flash flood. When it rains far away the water can run fast down mountains and fill up a canyon before you know it.
